August 27, 2025

6:00-8:30

Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club

Sponsored by Personal Safety Solutions

LIGHT DINNER WILL BE PROVIDED

During the first half, one of U.S. Law Shield's highly experienced firearms program attorneys will teach an engaging session about the firearms laws in Pennsylvania.  He will explain the laws in Pennsylvania that allow someone to use force to protect themselves, their loved ones, or another third party.  Additionally, he will explain when escalating levels of force can be used justifiably under Pennsylvania law.  He will also discuss topics such as "the totality of the circumstances" and what "reasonable" means in a legal context.  You will also learn what to expect when interacting with law enforcement officers after a use of force incident.

During the second half of the class, the focus will shift to the aftermath of a self-defense incident.  You will learn what happens when the police show up, how they collect evidence, how they gather statements and what will happen to you.  The speaker will explain how the case makes its way through the court system and will discuss whether or not you are eligible for bail.   There will be examinations of local cases to illustrate the ways these cases can play out in the real world.  This will be an eye-opening class and will help law abiding gun owners understand the legal process after a self-defense incident.

This event is free for anyone who wants to come and learn!  If you're a club member who wants to bring a friend who isn't a member, that is fine.  Everyone is welcome!
